The annual Bliss Guy Competition at the W Fort Lauderdale is an awesome event if you enjoy watching a parade of hot guys compete in a beauty pageant style competition that results in one man being crowned The Bliss Guy. Um…yes please. As you can imagine, the crowd was made up mostly of screaming girls and gay men, so we fit right in. Criteria for the event: Be “buff and well-groomed” (also known as hairless and metrosexual). But who are we to judge?

After a cutthroat competition of 18 men modeling their personal style and swimwear, the judges, Nikki Novo from Daily Candy Miami, Naughty Natalia, Ben Simpson from Ford Models, Marketing Director for Perry Ellis, James Brown, and Maxim’s Hometown Hottie, Lisa Morales, narrowed it down to 10 lucky contestants. The 10 finalists were then asked a serious of deep, probing questions that included little known information like “What’s your favorite pick up line?” and “Please demonstrate your favorite workout move.” Squat thrusts were inevitably part of the equation.

Finally the men hit the runway in fashion from Original Penguin, which was also part of the Grand Prize. After much deliberation, the crowd favorite, and hands down hot piece of ass, Jesse Hochmuth, received the great distinction of being crowned The Bliss Guy. As part of his reign, he’ll receive a year’s worth of Bliss Spa services, a $750 shopping spree from Original Penguin, and the priceless honor of being drooled over by the gay and female population of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Area.
